Our vision is that every child born with clubfoot receives effective treatment, which includes access to clubfoot braces, an essential medical device for successful treatment.
Steps identified the problem of limited access to clubfoot braces and other medical products. Our solution is to source and supply internationally recommended off-the-shelf clubfoot products at reasonable prices to clubfoot treatment providers and individual patients.
We are registered with SAHPRA as a medical device supplier and have a practice number with the Board of Health Funders so private patients can submit their claims to medical aids for reimbursement. We also supply institutions with bulk orders for state patients who have no health insurance.
Education is essential for brace adherence. We provide training on the fitting of clubfoot braces.
Proceeds from sales of clubfoot products are used to support Steps clubfoot care programmes to help achieve our goal that every child born in South Africa with clubfoot has access to a clubfoot brace. Help us reduce recurrence by supporting Steps clubfoot care products.
We deliver free to main centres in South Africa for many of the products.
